Need a good modem?
Most voice modems will work fine with Call Soft, we don't support the modems
below but only recommend them because they performed well.
AOpen.
The best if using Windows XP
Sound quality, speakerphone and caller ID all worked
well in Win98, 2k and XP. We we use this modem when testing and developing
Call Soft. It has performed better then any other modem to date.
Note: the modem comes with a TAD connector (wire that
connects the modem directly to a sound card). This is used only if you
wanted to use your PC's speakers when using the modems speakerphone, but
this is NOT required. The modem has a standard phono plug on the back
that allows you to connect it directly to another speaker if you plan
to use the speakerphone capability. None of this effects the modems ability
to play and record messages or send and receive faxes.
Try and get it from Yahoo
or Google

Creative Labs Modem Blaster 56K V.92 USB External Modem
Creative Labs has finally come out with a
product that actually works!.
In the past we have been very critical of Creative modems because many
of them behaved erratically. However this modem performed very well in
our tests. It supports Type 1 caller ID (name & number), voice and
fax. The voice quality was excellent for both playing and recording. The
fax performance was very good as well.

Installation was easy but you need to run the setup.exe program on the
CD to install the drivers. Be sure to run the setup.exe BEFORE
you physically install the modem. We also tested the faxing ability
and did not have any trouble when sending/receiving to/from a standalone
fax machine.
